Question 1

Is Stake Casino legal for Canadian players?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Stake Casino is legal and accessible for most Canadian players. The platform holds a Curaçao gaming licence, which is internationally recognized. Canadian federal law does not prohibit players from using offshore licensed casinos. Ontario players should note that Stake also operates an AGCO-registered version specifically for the Ontario regulated iGaming market. Players in all other provinces can use the standard internationally licensed version of Stake without any legal concerns.

Question 2

Can I deposit and withdraw in Canadian dollars at Stake?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Stake supports Canadian dollars (CAD) through several payment methods including Interac, Visa, and Mastercard. Interac is particularly popular among Canadian players as it is fast, secure, and widely supported by Canadian banks. Cryptocurrency users can also transact in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and other digital currencies without currency conversion issues, as crypto operates independently of fiat exchange rates.

Question 3

Does Stake Casino offer a welcome bonus for new Canadian players?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Stake Casino offers a welcome bonus for new players, though the specific terms — including the match percentage, maximum bonus amount, and wagering requirements — can change over time and may vary by region. Canadian players outside of Ontario are typically eligible for the full international welcome offer. Ontario players may see a different version due to AGCO advertising and bonus regulations. It is always recommended to check the current promotions page immediately after registering your account to see what is available in your province.

Question 4

What is the minimum age to play at Stake Casino in Canada?

Accepted Answer

The minimum legal gambling age in Canada varies by province. In most provinces, including Alberta, Quebec, and Saskatchewan, the minimum age is 18. In British Columbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, and Ontario, the minimum age is 19. Stake requires all players to confirm they meet the legal gambling age during registration, and age verification is a mandatory part of the KYC process before any withdrawal is processed. Underage gambling is strictly prohibited, and Stake takes compliance with these age restrictions very seriously.

Question 5

Are Stake Originals games fair to play?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Stake Originals are provably fair games, which is one of the most transparent fairness mechanisms available in online gambling. Each game outcome is generated using a cryptographic seed that both the player and the casino can verify independently after each round. This means it is mathematically impossible for the casino to manipulate outcomes in Stake Originals. Players can access the provability verification tool directly from the game interface. While RNG-based third-party slots are audited by independent testing agencies, the provably fair system used in Stake Originals provides an additional and more direct layer of transparency.

Question 6

How long do withdrawals take at Stake Casino for Canadian players?

Accepted Answer

Withdrawal speeds at Stake Casino vary depending on the payment method used. Cryptocurrency withdrawals are by far the fastest, typically processed within 10 to 60 minutes depending on network congestion. Interac withdrawals usually complete within one to three business days. Visa and Mastercard withdrawals may take three to five business days to appear in your account, depending on your card issuer. Before your first withdrawal, you will need to complete KYC verification by submitting a government-issued ID and proof of address. Once verified, subsequent withdrawals are generally processed without additional delays.
